The only event of its kind for the health and care community, MediWales Connects is an all Wales NHS collaboration conference.
With support from Andrew Goodall, Chief Executive of NHS Wales, this year’s conference programme highlighted the importance of thinking differently, changing services and making the most of research and innovation.
The 2017 edition of the event included keynote presentations, CPD training seminars, workshops and an exhibition.
Kelyon attended the event, participating actively during the Innovation Technology Workshop, with a showcase presentation.
Jeff Bolton, UK Marketing and Sales Manager, held a speech for the occasion, highlighting Kelyon’s expertise and international experience in the field of digital innovation for healthcare, through the presentation of the case study iGRO, a predictive software medical device developed for Pfizer.
The aims of the conference were mainly to:
- Highlight and showcase the excellent work and research being carried out by the health and care communities in Wales
- Improve collaborative working between the health boards and research communities
- Raise the profile of NHS Wales and clinical innovation across the UK and help promote recruitment for research
- Support closer working relationships between industry, NHS and research groups and clinical trials capabilities
