Convegno Tirnet

Kelyon joined the congress with Stefano Tagliaferri (Technical Director) and Antonio D’Addio (Project Manager), who presented Tirnet, a software developed for the University of Naples “Federico II”. Tirnet is a web-based platform that simplifies access for oncologists to both molecular diagnostic and cytology tests results on patients with thyroid cancer. Thanks to a hub&spoke model, diagnosis and treatment of nodular thyroid disease is supported by the competences of the Molecular Biology Lab in Cytopathology at the “Federico II” Department of Public Health, that allow oncologists from different healthcare institutions in Campania Region to request, in a simpler and direct way, tests for gene mutations involved in the thyroid neoplasms.Tirnet represents so far first oncology newtork in Campania Region.
